Psalm 3
Domine, quid multiplicati?
1 Lord, how they are increased who trouble me;*
many are those who rise against me.
2 Many there are who say of my soul,*
"There is no help for him in his God."
3 But you, O Lord, are my defender;*
you are my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 I called upon the Lord with my voice,*
and he heard me from his holy hill.
5 I lay down and slept, and rose up again,*
for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people*
who have set themselves against me round about.
7 Rise up, O Lord, and help me, O my God;*
for you smite all my enemies on the cheek-bone; you have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongs to the Lord;*
may your blessing be upon your people.
